Girl’s Night Omaha – Sip n’ Shop Event

Girl’s Night Omaha came about after some creative brainstorming and thought provoking conversation. My background includes nearly a decade of promotions and event planning, not to mention 20+ years of being a “spirit” leader on several dance and cheerleading teams.

Oh ya! That's me at 16, intoxicated by team spirit and totally obvious to my inappropriate pose.

My dear friend Sara of fashion and style blog, Sabby Style has been doing beautiful things with her personal styling and sharing them with her 38k+ instagram followers. Through the course of various blogging dates, I gathered that she had a real craving to connect with the people she was sharing tips with…in person. Funny how social media can make you feel so connected yet totally disconnected at the same time!

[Insert Erin of Her Heartland Soul] I recently did an anniversary photoshoot with another Omaha blogger, Erin. She shared her personal and professional goals with me through various meet-ups, text messages and emails, one of which was to be more in-tune with her inner fashionista.

By connecting the dots, I noticed an opportunity to combine the needs of two friends and create a solution that would benefit more than just the 3 of us. I reached out to Sarah Spooner of Four Sisters Boutique, to see if the would be interested in hosting our event, and after an enthusiastic “Yes!”, Girl’s Night Omaha was official! Sara, Erin & I immediately scheduled weekly meetings and photoshoots to hammer out marketing and details.
